Why What You Are Being Taught Isn't Working With Agents- Here's A Sample

I had a subscriber ask me an interesting question the other day.
Why should I listen to you instead of what I am being taught to do by my mentor.
I responded by saying if what you are being taught to do is working so well why are you here ? and why aren’t you too busy to pay attention to anything else?
That’s the smartassanswer- but I just can’t help myself sometimes
BUT HERE’S WHY - THERE ARE REALLY 3 Reasons
1. I still originate
They are teaching you to chase business -sometimes in very creative and productive ways
But chasing is chasing any way you slice itThey are teaching you to go after agents one at a time with coffee - lunch - or some other creative method- they “think” could work..
Let me share what I think and give you a sample!
First - whoever chases- is at a disadvantage- You are far better off attracting and showing them- in advance - that you are the obvious originator they sholuld be working with.
I actually coined a name for this called EDUSELLING@ and it works with agents - referral sources and also clients
Second- You can do this one to one like they suggest OR one to many-

I am now partnered with a title company- and a mover and a home inspector
We have invited an entire EXP group of 300 plus agents to an event
I will speak for 1 hour or probably a little more and share with them programs and tactics that will help them sell more homes..
Can you see how much more effective this is - than having one on one coffee’s and chasing each of them down to do it?
They will hopefully come to know - like and trust me
They will see that I am trying to help
They will see I know what I am talking about
After the event -THEY WILL COME UP TO ME and hand me their card
Thank me- and want to meet?

That is EDUSELLING AND ATTRACTING AT ITS FINEST.. and here is a real life example of it !!! Does your GURU give you an actual example they are using?

When I do have coffee or lunch with these agents- It’s a lay up - not a hard sale.. and I have 2 magic phrases I use that bonds them to me like GORILLA GLUE.
