This weekend the few open houses that are happening are likely to be full… but mostly with originators working hard to scratch out that extra loan.
But what do you do when you get there?
It’s likely you are going to just meet a new agent and hope for some buyers- but there are other loan officers doing exactly the same thing….
You can’t simply show up ( as an annoying pest) since you are NOT an invited guest.. and tell them all about your great service- rates- and how to use a buydown..
That’s what EVERYONE is going do!
Here’s what I would do instead-
I would prepare an open house package with the agents information already on it- and photos of the home you can get on-line along with some financing options
The open house form would have the agents info and mine on it.
When I showed up I would introduce myself and leave the packet with the agent and an open house registration form ( you wont’ believe how many agents don’t use one)
I would simply say that I will be around today if they have any buyers who need assistance… AND THEN I WOULD LEAVE… !!!!!
Strange ? Not really !!! Stop and think about it
You showed up—- you provided value— and you left before becoming annoying!!
Later that day or the next morning I would call and ask the open house went and tell the agent that I have alot tools that Might be of interest to him/her to get future listings… would he/she be interested in a quick chat- or meeting..???
See you are providing VALUE— and helping them sell homes… and that’s all they really care about..
