How To Motivate Yourself To Acheive Success
Good Morning
We are definitely in a challenging time in our industry so how do you stay motivated?
In the past week alone I have written 11 pre-approval letter
11 different homes
11 different buyers
11 different agents
NOT ONE HAS GOTTEN APPROVED AND RESULTED IN AN APPLICATION!
YIKES!!!
It’s very easy for the buyers - the agents and you as an originator to get frustrated and upset
The answer to staying motivated is to see your BIGGER picture goals and see this time in our industry as a bump in the road and not a brick wall…
We all have ups and downs and so does our industry…
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGER PICTURE GOAL?
You MUST HAVE a burning desire to succeed — regardless of what obstacles are put in your way.
TRUTHFULLY- for me- and maybe for you as well-
WHEN THINGS ARE TOUGH IS WHEN I DO MY BEST WORK AND MAKE MY MOST INCOME— it forces me to think outside the box and do things I am UNCOMFORTABLE doing when I don’t HAVE to !
there is is BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WANTING TO SUCCEED
DREAMING OF SUCCESS
AND HAVING A BURNING DESIRE- NOTHING CAN /WILL STOP ME- ATTITUDE..
Honestly if you don’t have that attitude right now- you may need to question why
or if this is the right industry for you?
If it is go for it !!!!!
I just saw a stat from Tom Ferry that about 60,000 realtors a month NATIONWIDE are NOT renewing their licenses
is that good or bad?
My opinion - its good- much less competition and the “GET IT WHILE ITS HOT” people who are NOT making this an actual career are gone and will be shortly.
NOT TO GO ALL “FOOO FOO” On you but here are some quotes from Napoleon Hill AUTHOR OF Think and Grow Rich- which I believe are very true !
All things are possible the person who believes they are possible
Whatever your mind can conceive and believe you can achieve.
I know this is getting to be a long one— BUT-
Let me tell you a persona story to illustrate this.
A dear friend of mine just passed away- he was the inventor of the heart difiblerator
and died worth 100’s of millions of dollars …
He started as a cardiologist in Baltimore with a normal practice- but he had this vision of saving lives - and a buring desire to come up with a solution that would shock people back to life instantly -since so many died while waiting for an ambulance to arrive..
So he tested many ideas- and came up with some prototypes-
he tested these on dogs and some worked well
He told me how he used to go to Cardiology conferences and he was the laughing stock of the Cardiology field…
UNTIL he actually perfected it- and partnered with a medical device company to produce them…
Bet those cardiologists aren’t laughing now
My wife had congestive heart failure this past Mothers day -
She was given an exterior defiblerator to wear for the next 90 days and may need to have one implanted
I am sure glad Dr Mower didn’t give up and that he had a burning desire and a vision that helped him overcome the challenges
Have a great week
