Let me give you a little back drop for those of you who don’t my whole story.
In 1985 I started out as a realtor and in 1986 I became a loan officer. I struggled and left the business in 1989 to sell fax machines-
Don’t laugh- they were the newest technology in 1989! But I quickly became bored and came back to the business after six months. At that time I was working for a bank and they were taken over by the government during the Savings and Loan crisis.
Then I went to work for a mortgage banker- and rose to a division manager - but truth be told I hated management and preferred being what I truly am— a street originator - without a college degree who just LOVES selling.
After 2 decades I decided to open my own shop. I was doing so well that I decided to train others and opened what at the time was the largest training company in our industry dedicated to just originators called Loan Officer Success.
The slogan was teaching loan officers who to close more loans make more money and still have enjoy life- I am honored to say that this slogan I created is the most ripped off one in our industry.
LIFE WAS GOOD- BUT I DIDN”T KNOW WHAT WAS COMING
In 2007 I sold the training company and closed down the mortgage company and thought I would ride off into the sunset-
MANY - Was I mistaken-
One day in 2010 I turned around to find that all of my business were going into bk and I was holding the financing- and I was diagnosed with what I was told was a terminal type of cancer.
Went to bed one night all was good- Got up and sajd WTF!!!
Anyway- I reinvented again- and in 2013 got back into the business after starting and selling a digital marketing company- GUESS THIS BUSINESS IS JUST IN MY BLOOD!!
Well I am thrilled to say that ending 2021 I will be at about 50,000,000 with average loan of 290000 and have rebuilt now for the 3rd time.
SO WHO CARES?
