One scary item is counting on agents for your business… It’s what we are taught from the very first day we get into the business …
Our business depends on agent referrals whether you LIKE IT or not .. it’s reality..
Especially now- with not many people refinancing …
BUT THE WAY WE ARE TAUGHT TO DO IT IS SIMPLE INCORRECT…
I had to find this out the hard way
Back when I started there were offices you could go to — hand out donuts and rate sheets and meet agents…
Yes- it was begging… but it did work- not pretty— but it worked if you put in the effort.
NOW WE ARE TOLD TO CALL AGENTS WITH A SCRIPT IN HAND
BEG THEM FOR A COFFEE OR LUNCH

AFTER ALL- they are searching for the same relationships you are—
You expose your agents to them- they expose their agents to you
