Today we will be discussing our last myth that was taught to us and prevents us from closing more loans making more and enjoying life.
Check out that last sentence- we all want to close more loans right?
But we all also want to make more money.
AND we all also want to enjoy life.
JUST THOSE THREE SENTENCES ALONE ARE THE MISLEADING MYTH
MYTH # 8- You must do as many loan as you can — it’s all about how many loans you close and your volume
The truth is that you should be closing LESS LOANS- SO YOU CAN MAKE MORE MONEY AND STILL ENJOY LIFE…
I learned this one the hard way by working 24/7/365 to the point that my wife called me a mortgage 7/11 and herself a mortgage widow
You become On call - all the time- and burnt out-
Still working as hard when things were slow to make it happen and cursing how busy I was when things were great.
NOTHING IS WORSE THAN A MEAN BURNTOUT ORIGINATOR
There are a number of ways that we have already discussed in the previous myths to avoid these issues..
Let’s start with a simple one first- MIGHT EVEN MAKE YOU SAY “DUH”!
It’s actually easier to do 1/ 500,000 loan than it is 2 loans for 250,000 or 4 for 125,000
So try to attract higher loan amounts by tweaking your marketing efforts for the areas and agents that tend to sell higher priced homes. I will share those strategies with our subscribers each and every month in our private members only area.
Think about what you need to do just to do 2 -250,000 vs 1 500,000 loan
More prequals- at night and on weekends
More calls for follow up
More time spent trying to get 2 loans to closing vs one right?
ANOTHER METHOD- IS OF COURSE- BEING THE EXPERT IN A NICHE..
you attract people who need less persuasion - less time on the phone - less time for your selling them on using your services.
You act like a doctor- Do an exam ( prequal) give a diagnosis— they do what you prescribe.

MYTH #6 - You need to join a networking group - have a social media presence- and always be “asking” for business.
MYTH # 7- You MUST Have all of the available products and programs so you can be everything to everybody and never lose a deal.
