This month I wanted to share an idea that is more important to your success

We are in a very tough period in our industry and I am sorry to say that many companies and originators will not survive it.
There are way too many of us right now competing for the small amount of business out there and I am sorry to say that I see it getting worse before it gets better.

For those of you who are veterans of the industry - last 20 or so years - you have seen this movie before. In fact this is the 8th major storm I have seen in my 37 years. Remember when I started rates were 18.00% * not a misprint*

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT STORMS ARE FOLLOWED BY RAINBOWS…. and we should get a good rainbow in 2023 - probably second half would be my own guess.

THE KEY IS SURVIVING TO GET THERE… RIGHT?
While we are being honest I have to tell you that my own production of course is down from the past 2 years… Don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

This is not a market for the faint of heart- but it’s also a market full of opportunities.!!

A chance to pivot- and finally have the time to look at your business and fix things.
Make new relationships!
Find new avenues of business-
Become an expert in a niche
Work on your PR/Follow up
Put new systems in place or revise your current ones.

BUT TODAY I DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT A NEW STRATEGY OR TACTIC

I want to talk about you…

About your very own self image during these challenging times.. It’s very easy to get discouraged and have your self esteem lowered a few notches.

Perhaps you even suffer from what is known as imposter syndrome- where you truly don’t believe you are capable of the success you acheived in the past.

For many years I was a big fan of Napoleon Hill and Think and Grow Rich…
I am all for positive thinking

BUT POSITIVE THINKING WILL NOT EVER MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL…
I read it for many years and even gave a copy to my initial mastermind coaching members but I always felt like something was missing…

There are actually a few missing pieces..
First- you can’t just think and grow rich— you actually have to get up and do things..
Even things that at first may seem uncomfortable…
During my mastermind meetings its not uncommon for members to actually cry— when exposing some of their issues in a public forum… but it makes them stronger and richer..

THE SECOND PART IS ACTUALLY THE MORE IMPORTANT PART!!

THAT IS YOUR OWN SELF IMAGE- THIS FOR ME WAS THE MISSING PART!

YOU WILL ACT CONSISTENTLY WITH YOUR OWN SELF IMAGE…
Please re --read that and let it sink in

If you succeed beyond your self image without adjusting it— you will fail..!!
If you have a higher self image and adjust it — you will succeed — even if you are not yet sure how… or why— or even when.

This sounds very simple on the surface but there is actually a process I learned in a book called PSYCHO -CYBERNETICS-
I have listened to it- and read it ( at least twice a year) for the past 20 years..

without the correct mindset and self image and mental success mechanisms in place — no tactic or strategy can work long term….
