The last few years have been challenging for many people in our industry
Many have left and some seem to be just hanging on..
But if you have been in the industry for any length of time you know there are ups and downs.. always!
THis past week I have taken 5 new applications and have sent out an addtional 4 pre approvals.. Pretty BUSY!!!
But it got me thinking and so I wanted to share.
I really wasn’t sure why — why this major spurt of new business
Espsecially in the Maryland market where seasonal issues make Jan -Feb a very slow period of the year…
I can go on and on about the possible WHY’s but the one thought I wanted to share is CONSISTENCY!!!
YOU NEED TO BE CONSISTENT IN YOUR MARKETING
don’t put it off when you are “too busy” or just ignore it when you are slow!!
I AM CONSISTENT AND YOU NEED TO BE ALSO!!!
So what does that look like?
Sending out market updates and rate updates weekly
Calling my agents weekly to see how they are doing
Homebuyer workshops at least 2 new ones every month while the old ones are running on autopilot
WOrkshops for agents at the Board or with Partners- at least 2 a month
Weekly newsletters to agents and referral partners and past clients
Follow up weekly on loans in process with status updates
videos on social media
Articles and videos for PR - radio/tv/you tube facebook
Book promotion that generates new busisness
Networking with referall partners - now is a good time of year to network with your accountant and other accountants and financial planners
WHy not offer a free review?
